My cat gave birth yesterday. This is her second birth and the first time everything was fine. But this time she has diarrhea. I can't figure out why, since she was eating the same food that she always does. I called the vet and was told to watch the cat for a few days. If the situation does not change, then seek help. But I can't just watch her, I'm so worried about her health and the health of her kittens. What should I do?

Oh, I understand your emotions. It's very hard to worry when cats are sick, because they can't tell what's bothering them. But if the doctor told you to watch, then the doctor knows what he is doing. You need to calm down a little bit. Cats can have diarrhea after having kittens for several reasons. Here cleverpetowners.com/why-does-my-nursing-mother-cat-have-diarrhea/ is a good description of all of them. Maybe this article will help you reduce your anxiety level a bit. If the diarrhea doesn't stop in 2-3 days, then you'll need to take the cat to the vet. For now, make sure the cat is drinking plenty of water. This happens with some cats after kittens are born. Cats, like people, have different birthing patterns.

Oh, it's really hard with female cats when they give birth to kittens. My parents have a cat and she's already had two difficult births. I beg them to spay her, but they postpone it until later. I have a hunch she will give birth to kittens again soon. My parents let her out for a walk and that is where she finds the male cat. I don't know how to convince them to spay.
